Project

The Road Safety Centre in Launceston was constructed inside of a redundant water tank. Due to deterioration over time, the site was identified for redevelopment and modernisation by Council. Zanetto Civil delivered construction of the new site over three stages, offering the community a vibrant place for play and education.

Works at the site included bulk earthworks, drainage works, demolition, the car park, retaining walls, play equipment, toilet block, barbeque space, fencing, lighting and line marking.

The site was awarded winner of the best play space 2025 in the Parks & Leisure Australia VicTas Awards of Excellence as recognition of a collaborative, community-focused project.
