At Zanetto Civil, we are seeking a motivated plant operator to work in crews on construction projects across Northern Tasmania, bringing experience and attention to detail to both the work and care of the machinery.
Your Role May Include
- Operating excavators from 1.8T to 40T
- Operating wheeled and tracked skid steers
- Operating medium rigid to heavy combination trucks
- Operating rollers from 2T to 12T
Projects You Will Construct
- Subdivisions
- Pipelines and pumpstations
- Roadworks
- Retaining walls
- Earthworks

Zanetto Civil are seeking an experienced civil construction foreman to join our team! We are an established company with over 25 years in the civil construction industry and offer a respectable, fast paced and challenging environment. The role is a full-time permanent position and offers an attractive wage, monthly RDO, and a vehicle with tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of workers
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations
- Oversee project schedules and ensure deadlines are met
- Liaise with Project managers, clients and other stakeholders to understand project requirements
- Maintain quality control and manage resources efficiently
- Provide training and support to team members
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a Foreman or similar supervisory role
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Knowledge of civil construction procedures and safety standards
- Ability to read and interpret plans
- Proven ability to manage projects and meet deadlines
Relevant hands-on experience with some or all the following are preferred but not essential:
- Sewer, water and stormwater mains
- Installation of manholes, pits and pump stations
- Road construction
- Concreting
- Retaining walls
- Excavator / Roller / Grader operation
Preferred Personal Skills:
- Good written and verbal communication
- Ability to lead small teams
